LinkPilot Documentation
How LinkPilot Works
From your voice to a scheduled LinkedIn post. One workspace covers drafting, refining, and staying consistent — here's how the pieces fit together.
1. Your Persona is built from how you write
Everything starts with your Persona. During onboarding you answer a few questions about your role and goals, and paste in posts you've already written — LinkPilot uses those as a stand-in for your writing history and turns them into five structured fields: professional identity, communication style, content themes, unique perspective, and writing guidelines.
It keeps learning after that. Every time you edit an AI draft before publishing, LinkPilot logs what changed — a phrase you always cut, a sign-off you always add — and folds it back in as a learned preference for the next draft.
2. Chat turns a prompt into a draft
Describe what you want in Chat and LinkPilot drafts a post in your voice, streamed in as it writes. Pick a saved Content Style if you want an alternate tone for a specific post.
Images, slide decks, videos, and lead magnets each have their own dedicated studio rather than living inside the chat window — see Where to go next below.
3. Refine, approve, and schedule
Every draft lands on the post canvas, where you can edit it by hand or ask for a change. Drafts auto-save and show up on the My Posts board — Draft, Pending Approval, Changes Requested, Scheduled, Published, Failed — so nothing gets lost between an idea and a published post.
If your workspace has Team Approvals turned on, a draft can be routed for review before anyone publishes it. See Workspaces & Approvals for the full permission model.
4. Publish through your own account
Connect your LinkedIn account once, from Settings, and publish now or schedule it on the Calendar. LinkPilot never asks for your password — it uses LinkedIn's official OAuth connection.
NOTE
What feeds it all
A few features keep the drafts sharp and on-brand:
- Knowledge Base — your notes, reused as trusted context in future drafts.
- Brand Kit — your colors and fonts, applied to every generated visual.
- Trending Topics — a daily feed of stories worth posting about, with a suggested angle.
- Authority Map — a map of the topics you've already covered versus the gaps in your content.
Manage & scale
Higher plans add room to grow: multiple workspaces for separate clients or brands, Team Approvals so more than one person can weigh in before something publishes, and a Developer API, MCP server, and BYOK for teams who want LinkPilot from their own tools.
